NDSL WEATHER CANCELATION POLICY
posted 3/30/2013 by GENE GRUGEL
Weather Cancellation Policy
The decision to cancel or postpone a game because of bad weather must be made hours in advance so that parents, players and coaches do not have to drive needlessly. It is recognized and accepted that games will be cancelled that could have been played due to improving weather conditions.
The following League representatives are responsible for game cancellations in their town due to weather:
Bismarck--Jeff Jensen
Grand Forks--Erik Myrold
Jamestown--Gene Grugel
Minot--Michelle Weishaar
West Fargo--David Fenelon
These League contacts will be listed on the home page by clicking on the "
Contacts" or "
Team Contacts" links in the left-hand column.
Game cancellation decisions must be relayed to NDSL Commissioner Gene Grugel immediately so that he can update the website and send notice to referees.
Away teams have the responsibility of contacting the home team representative(s) to determine if a game should be played.
All weather-related cancellations should be made up, if possible. It is the responsibility of both teams to search for a mutually agreeable date, time and venue for re-scheduled game. Once agreed upon, contact NDSL Commissioner Gene Grugel to update the website and referee schedule.
